Hey everyone,
I'm a newbie in snowboarding and I just bought some gear. I rented gear a couple of times and now I wanted my own. I want to know if I bought the right spec equipment. I'm 5'8", 172lbs and size 10 boots. My board is 155cm and the waiste is 25.5. I will be doing freeriding, Do you guys think this setup is ok. I'm thinking that the board might be a little to wide at the waiste. There is a 1.5cm hangover at the toes or maybe a bit more , NOW I'm a little confused about the hangover at the back, the heelcup itself is deffinately hanging over the board, Is this right? or should the baseplate be hanging over the board. I'm not sure? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Indeed this is more an alpine boards related site/forum, but if you promise to start carving on the board you're accepted
If you want to learn riding on the edge, use average angles such as 30° on the front foot, and 15° on the back. It will make the turns easier.
Advise: take a lesson with a teacher it helps a lot!!
