Swoard ECS 2016 - 13th session: Feedback, pictures, etc.

What a Session! The number 13 has brought good luck to all the participants. The EC conditions were awesome on Saturday, probably the best for 5 years. The spectacle with all the extremecarvers was beautiful below the blue sky. The level of the riders is still higher and higher, justifying the existence of this event, the original one in the place where EC is born. Riding together is the best way to progress and to support our sport.
In the night from Saturday to Sunday, we got 60-70 cm of fresh snow! All the DUAL demo boards were used of course. On Monday, full sun was back for freeriding in virgin powder at the very top of the resort.

FUTURE

• The dates of the Swoard ECS 2017 should be as always at the end of January! Thus the 14th ExtremeCarving Session should take place from Jan 28th to 30th, 2017 !
  Participate in the 2nd Swoard Film Contest". Use your recent footage or shoot more with one or several Extremecarver (or DUAL) in action, for editing a good film. The deadline for participation is 14th January 2017 ! There are 3 boards to win, and the Awards will be given during the dinner of the 14th ExtremeCarving Session in January 2017.

I can't wait for watching again the movie cut by Mustafa! It was really appreciated during the dinner on Saturday.
Same with the slideshow made by Christian on the basis of his pictures and Lionel's shots.

We are going to publish they creations quickly this week, despite all the work in our real lives.

on so many levels this weekend was by far the best of the last 4-5 years
from perfect EC conditions to fresh powder with lots of sunshine and it was generally not very crowded
so many people need to be thanked from organising the event and participating and helping during the event
also a big thank you to the guys filming and photographing, it has been a while since we had this huge amount of digital material at our disposal again

please please continue so we can celebrate the 15th anniversary in 2 years

Hi all!
One more time this ECS was a complete success!!
Shinning weather and perfectly groomed slopes on the first two days. Freeride with sun and fresh powder for the last day. What else??
Each time i come back to Zinal i remember why : we are a big family of carvers and sharing our passion is so great!!

Many thanks for all the team and guys who are involved in this event.
Thanks to Christian and Lionel for these nice pictures. It's really pleasant the see them and it allow us to continue to dream after the event.

Fantastic condition for this 13th session...

Great ride and great time like every years, but this year it was very good to have such great condition for EC on the first day, and also a day before on Friday!!

W-o-w, the riding level is very high level and impressive ...almost intimidating for those thinking of joining
Great to see that although everyone is using the EC riding technique, each rider has his/her own style which is pretty cool.

For the youtube film, I have a question: what is this Swoard binding at 1:50?
Where can I find the link on that binding?
