UPZ RC10 Struggling to get the spring system out

Hi EC'ers,

What is the best way to get the old spring system bolt out of the plastic? Without destroying the plastic?

Seen the video where a few taps with the hammer seem to get it out, but mine seem to have a small plastic lip that prevents them coming out. I even tried the big hammer.


Any ideas?

Hi Gio,
Thanks for that. I did try screwing the cylinder part all the way to compress the spring, but it didn't come out by hand pressure....not even hammer pressure. They must have changed something on the newer models.

I will try again, but I spent all last night tightening the spring, loosening the spring, nothing worked.

Just put on a big screwdriver on the big screw just right behind the top, it must come out and then push a little on the end of the screw by hand. Put a picture on this topic of your problem, may be we can help you out. I had boots from 2 seasons back and this years model and fixed it within 20 seconds.
