Lifting again.
Hi.
Sorry for bringing it up again. I feel a bit weird. After all discussions and confirmation from various riders about riding flat I still for some reason feel more comfortable riding with 3 degrees lifting on rear binding.
Does anyone else use lifting with Swoard ?
Swoard 175M, TD2.
I'm about 190, riding 55 - 51.
Thanks.

Evgeny,
I ride my board whith 3 degrees lift in the back with a stance wigth of 50cm.
I would try to ride flat when my Swoard hopefully arrives, but according what you said you offset backwards your bindings on your board which is incorect according the specifications of the Swoard.
I think that sould set your bindings in the center.
Stance width is something personal to me, it depence on your gear on your style and the conditions that you ride.

Re: Lifting again.
Evgeny,
Yes, I do use a 3 degree cant on the rear binding (on my swoard). I'm of the opinion that the cant give a better riding position and a more comfortable leg and foot positioning. This is of course depending on binding, boot and personal physiology.Evgeny wrote:Hi.

That in the soul which is called the mind is, before it thinks, not actually any real thing.

I would think you wouldn't really need lift on your rear foot if your boot is flexible enough (i.e. RAB modding for Deeluxes) and, I guess, as long as your legs (i.e. calf muscles) stretch enough. When I skateboard/longboard, my rear heal tends to come up but only when I'm riding more lackadaisically. I do use inward cant on my lowish angled rear foot when snowboarding though, so perhaps helps.
I’m currently using a slight toe lift on my front foot, sans-cant, since that just feels comfortable. Maybe I should wean myself off of it like István.

FLAT
Hi
I just started riding flat with no cants or lift. I went down from 49 to 47 stance witdth (yeah I´m short) I also went from 60/60 degrees to 55/48. It feels actually very good even after just a couple of rides!

Just got back from trying all the different settings on my 175. Stance 53,5 angles 57 - 53 (might go back to 55-50), no lift and less inclined angle on my boots than on my Silberpfeil (stance 50, angles 55 - 50 and 3° lift). The feeling though is that to get to real EC turns it's necessary to have the least inclination possible on your boots to allow maximum distension of your legs.
