1st resort in the world with permanent EC slope

Post by fivat » Monday 27 October 2014, 16:26

Hello all,

We wanted to share with you some news which are visible in the French post here.
This is fantastic! :birthday: A black slope will be groomed and reserved for extremecarving during all season, in the resort named Peyragudes (Pyrenees, France).
This resort is the second one which we visit every year during the Swoard Demo Tour.

Sébastien, from the Swoard team, is at the origin of this little miracle, with the resort director.
Congratulations to them!! :clap3: :pray2: :bravo:

This slope is made for snowboarders, but of course the good skiers at carving will use it too. We will see how it goes during the season.
Sébastien with his students and other extremecarvers will be present on this slope almost all week-ends and holidays. 8)

We already knew the slalom areas for the teams, the snow parks, the boardercross, ... Here come the extremecarving areas! :clap3: :silly:
We had already seen some reserved and permanent slopes for carving, for example in Zermatt (Matterhorn), but they were often blue slopes, made for ski carving.
Now here is a black slope for snowboarders!
This is really a good step for our sport!
