Swoard third model: preview

Post by fivat » Friday 29 November 2013, 19:37

Okay, this week-end some riders will see and ride the third new model in Cervinia (Italy).
Thus we can't keep it secret any longer. :D Here is how it looks.

Model name is: Extremecarver Pro

All details and program will be given soon. This is made by hand, in limited series in our new R&D workshop. The board will be available only online from mid-December.
We are very excited despite all the work. We hope you will like the graphics (designed with Lionel) and the performances. 8)

If you have a look here:

you will find the following:
The new third model (announcement soon!) is made in limited series (in 3 sizes and 5 flexes): thus it is not available as demo board.

Since the model Extremecarver Pro is new, made in limited series by hand in our small R&D workshop (it's like custom board), there won't be demo boards so early (and maybe never). People have to find a friend or someone who has it. ;-)

The other model, Extremecarver Gen4, is made now in a new factory and brings the Swoard-EC technique to a wide public, from beginners to experts.
More details soon.

Patrice,

please book for me one new custom metal sword. I will take in Zinal if you allow it. I believe you and wish to have it. I will arrive in Zinal January 2.

pretty! i wonder, is the sidecut radius a symmetric VSR, ie something like 15m-13m-15m? ;)

All details will be given on detailed technical pages in preparation. For now it is the rush before Christmas! :xmas:
The sidecut is the best we experimented for our extremecarving technique, after many tests on steep slopes with various boards.

There is always a solution for a friend. I will try to take another 168H for you.
See you there! 8)

Watch out, metal has advantages... but also inconveniences, which Swoard wanted to by-pass by developing an innovative technology (for 4-5 years). We shall talk again about this later this winter.

The construction is not "classic" with simple sheets of Titanal (= alloy of aluminum), but much more complex. Note that metal is used in the ski industry for 30 years at least. Thus it is not so new and there is quite a lot of marketing made recently on metal.

Swoard does not follow the trends. Swoard creates them. ;-)
Whether this is in board concept or in ride technique. Because we make all this to have the best boards for ourselves above all, in the style of ride that we created. We are a small team which is free to make what it wants because we make it by passion, besides our other jobs and thus without financial constraints.

 The price of the model could be determined this summer already, on the basis of the hand-made stages and of the complexity (with regard to the "standard metal"). It was fixed to 859€ free of tax. For comparison the Extremecarver Gen4 is 639€ free of tax, and the Dual is 549€ free of tax.

We believe that this price for an innovative metal technology is very competitive with regard to all what is produced in Europe with metal. Our objective is to make our boards and EC accessible to everyone. In 2002-2003, we began a small production because people wanted to have the same protos as the ones shown in our photos and first EC videos. It is always the same flame and the same passion for snowboard which drives us. :D

859€ + 25% custom 215€ + custom handling 100€ + shipping 70€ = 1244€
pricey when sending to Norway
