Well, I would be, too if I could justify spending money on them (I don't ride much, unfortunatelly, busybusybusy). So instead, I'm gonna play with these Emery's and if they break...tough. Hopefully I won't. I am even goind to try doing a primitive version of TD3 Sidewinder trick on the bail blocks (allowing some flex side to side and little front to back)... Pictures to come.

I never had one of the Emery bindings in my hands.
I would not use the dark green solution.
It depends on the height of the pad you are choosing. But I believe either
- you create too much stress to the inserts/screws
- the silver "base" plate bends/flexes and you get dents in your board
- the silver "base" plate breakes because the material is too brittl/hard
