Ylläs ?

Please pokkis, as a real Finish man, tell more about!

The picture You post, shows me the brand new Omega IV gondolas (CWA Constructions, Olten) from the longest cableway of Finnland.
Beside the Swiss-made Omega IV Cabrio Safari edition of this type of gondola, which are nice for the lower stages e.g. of skiing on Kilimandscharo (Kenia), to protect skiers and snowboarders against wild live animals, there is an Finish Version of this Omega IV gondola:
The Sauna Edition - the real choice for any authentic Finish carver for to enjoy Ylläs ski area. Didn't You do Sauna as You have been suspended uphill?? Have You been focused only to make movies, a thing, what You can do anywhere on a slope on the world!

Most stupid lift that condole they have. That brings too many folks to best slope there.
I did not visit Ylläs this year even they have top stuff here, i rather went for Suomu, which has 3 T-bars only but slopes are great combined to smaller ammount of folks, my current favourite in Finland :bravo:

O.K. I was not shure about Suomu, because the picture was from Ylläs!
Yes ski-areas with only T-bar lifts are less crowded.
The type of 8-seats-gondola works on a good capacity, so they are used in normal case, as cablecar from the base of 400/600 meters in the valley, up to the mid station for feeding 1200-1800 persons an hours to the 1000-1200 meters higher stages. So, if a ski-express-railway/train, which is full up, arrives to the ski-resort base-station, people has to wait maximum about 30 minutes +/-, for to be transported up to the hill.
