Crap over the www

Post by fivat » Sunday 14 September 2008, 21:38

As a physicist (with a master from EPFL), I was amazed last week to see all the crap over Internet about the end of universe that would happen because of the CERN laboratory. People who have no idea of what a blackhole really is write stupid things.

It's a bit ironic to read such crap about the CERN over the World Wide Web… which has been actually invented by the CERN.

It's also a bit ironic to read a post from Schneewurm about "extremecarving" on this Forum… :D ;-)

Note that if the brands are trying to make their Intec more flexible, it's precisely because some people like us are saying for many years that it was too stiff (and is still for me and many riders!). The same is true for the alpine boots.

Blackholes are important! :-)
In the center of our galaxy they seem to participate in the creation of new stars. Without them we would probably not be there enjoying life and snowboarding! 8)

By the way, I'm selling my Bomber TD2, flat (no canting) and customized with Catek levers (it's closer to the shoes). I also have Ti bails. Excellent state! Used a few times only. Price to be discussed...
But I will sell them to someone coming to the next Swoard ECS in Zinal. I'm too busy and lazy for shipping them. :-)

Patrice, sounds like a good deal, but I need it now... and actuall already bought most of the parts I need, so the things I do not have yet I posted in the Classifieds.

Let's see if I'll still be in need next year in Zinal, I will surely be there.

Cheers

I was writing/posting datas from Intec-bindings from Years before!

So they stop now making black holes in Geneva. System-MTBF seems to be at 10 days only.
And it seems its easyer to get as fast as possible a TD2 Ti, then spare parts for CERN laboratory.

Ahhh, physicist! There is a now a huge demand of them. At a similar school like EPFL, but ending with a Z, last weeks lessons starts with 14'000 students, +13 % more physicist then before! In greater Geneva area there is now a need of "black-holes-makers" 8O - just a new job.

Yes-yes, the physicist! Big boys with big toys and some crazy ideas, probable at a very high level. Just give them an acoustic chamber - they use it as a room for the "Siesta" after lunchtime. Just give them a clima-room for environment simulation - the use it for "let's making snow now". Just give them a high voltage labor - they use it as her high-end-audio transitor-radio, probable without any coil-papercone loudspeakers. Well, each time when poeple from PSI talk about theire things, I close my ears immediatly.
O.k. in normal cases physicist can control what they do very well, but there are also some other rare exeptions like Tschernobyl!

Schneewurm, without the physicists and scientists in history, you would still be in a cave with a Mamouth fur instead of writing on a computer in a heated office and benefitting of all the devices that they have developed. :D

The physicists are now trying to create blackholes that could attract and make vanish your big ego which is visible worldwide on several Forum.

I don't expect black holes to be of any help with our problem. I'm waiting until CERN produces wormholes. To be more accurate, snowwormholes.

they will not produce anything - this crapy tunnel was made for a money that less than twice compared to the road construction in Moscow :-)))))))

So, how good this device can be if it`s construction cost twice cheaper than road?

hi-hi-hi, Yes whole Switzerland is well informed about that - some computer-hackers just used this wholes to intrude CERN's LHC-research-network! hi-hi-hi - these hackers are now on big ego!

But just next days I hope, CERN will use the synergy of warm up the defect part of the LHC to produce snow for some acres of slopes for the hill La Dôle! 8) (La Dôle is a well known hill near of Geneva)

But You know this weekend in the best city in the world in quality of live (Zurich) there will be today enough snow for snowboarding and doing high jumps. Freestyle.ch starts in a view hours (6 p.m.). Over 100 labels/stores are presenting their new winter-stuff, from local stores/brands up to the austrian blue tomato's from far away. O.k. Swoard is missing, other brands with raceboards are present, showing them to more then 50'000 poeples. :bravo:

Attention intro, sounds good:
the big hole - vanish the earth the whole - just starts at La Dôle! ©Schneewurm

By the way, who really needs some Intec TD2 Ti or TD3 bindings? They are old-fashion now!
Poeples from eastern Europe, just go east, just tune to "bling-bling"-Bindings: The SHR !

Those central bolts on the toe bail does not make me believe that this is reliable, so my western friends ( i.e. eastern Europe ) does not need to follow advice above.

P.S. anybody tried those bindings?
