Double-post
Not really: if I say that if you want a good EC board, you need width, torsion stiffness and large radius, it means that any board that doesn't meet these 3 conditions together is not good for extremecarving.

The F2 is perfect for carving but not for extremecarving, unless you have very short feet...

Thanks for clarifying that Jacques. Maybe if I talk to my board nicely it might be willing to try a few EC turns ;)

shoe size 38. but there was a ")" right after the "8", and the combination of these two signs give: 8)

With 38 foot size, you can ride a 19 or 20 cm width board with nice EC angulation, you lucky!

maybe burton picked up something from the extreme carving site? They have wide race boards this year: a 168 with 22.5 cm waist width and a 158 with 21.0 cm waist width.

No, I dont think Burton have copied from this site!
Yes, they had them (wide racers) for years, did you check the sidecut radius they are 8,7 and 10,4 to small for EC I think isn't J&P :?:

Dènis 8) 8)

I think that such a board is just for BoarderX races... not for EC.

Hi Guys,

Based on the height of Jacques and Patrice (186cm & 176cm), their corresponding board length(173cm & 168cm) is significantly less (13cm & 8cm respectively). I'm only 167cm tall, so should I be looking to buy a board that is a few centimetres less than this, as opposed to buying a 172, which you recommended earlier?

Cheers,
Tsu

Hmmm hard to say

Its more a weight thing than a lengh thing.. You're both light and not as tall as J or me...
The problem is usually, smaller race boards are stiffer, and have shorter radius which makes EC turns very fast and hard to manage.... I ride the 172 oxygen proton, which needs juice to carve , even if its an easy board.. but i'm 180 pounds and 6.3... :)

Wait for the EC board, will have a flex and lengh for you Tsu :)

Hi nils,

Unfortunately, even if I could afford one of your EC boards, I don't think you would have one ready in time for my first trip to The Alps this season (Nov. 30th).

The F2 Speedster RS 172 should allow me to do some EC's...otherwise I'll break it, or myself, trying :)
