You guys get smoother and more fluid every year. It's always an inspiration, fellas! Watching that makes me wish I was riding right now... The movie is awe-freakin-some.

I still wish you would include a little itty bitty footage of you two riding with the push-pull style in powder :P I know 1) you ride softboots and thus not the Swoard in powder so there is no reason to include it in the movie and 2) when there is powder you don't want to wait to set up the camera :D but having ridden with Patrice a little in the trees/powder, I wish I could study his technique more (or even in the moguls!).

Thanks to everyone for these compliments :oops: :oops: :oops:
And we are very happy if such movies can make people (who are not hard boots snowboarders) feel how much riding pistes can be exhilarating and source of adrenaline :D
"Off piste" is cool, yes, but "on piste" too! 8)
Bob Jenney wrote:Are you guys coming the SES this year?
Unfortunately no because:
- We are very busy with our new production... New boards could be available on February (when the SES happens)
- Dates are bad for me
- Jacques is very busy these days with his full time job

Note that I will probably come to Canada from 23rd March to 3rd April for soft boots freeriding :-) Five days in Whistler and the rest in other resorts depending on the conditions. But I will take my hard stuff and Swoard too: I must lay some turns in this paradise!

OK I leave now for the mountains (Zinal)! I won't have any Web access, but Nils will have one from Verbier!
Again, happy new year to everyone!

Great!!!

Another great video!
It's absolutely incredible that you can watch such a video smiling at the beginning, keeping the breath while riders carve, feeling energy while the music is underlining what your eyes are watching... etc...
Really, great.
My compliments, as always, to you! I can't get enough to watch it!...

awesome

Awesome, congratulations. The production is superb, and I love the music - it almost has a "James Bond" theme to it.

Well Done, and thank you. These movies make me ache to get on snow. As Shred Gruumer would say, "my carvelobium is swollen!"

Just to echo everyone else, that was a fantastic video!! the best yet!!

Question about the music: I assume "Slalom" is the artist, right? Does anyone have a link to a homepage or something? I tried googling, but typing "Slalom" into Google even with other keywords mainly turns up ski-related homepages... of course, my google skillz aren't very l33t. ^^;;;

Anyway, I would really like to hear more of their music.

Heh...this is the second time I have gotten into an artist because of an Extreme Carving video...the "Stoked" video got me into Télépopmusik and now I own a few of their albums. (^_^)v

[edit]incidently...I just realized that while I have been lurking in these forums for some time, this is my first time posting.. o_O;;

Slalom

"Slalom" is a friend of mine who is a artist and sound engineer in Paris.. He works freelance for TV, radio and also with electro-jazz people such as Eric Truffaz :). He also manages to create electro songs/ dance stuff for himself!

He has other great songs but i'm wondering the state of his website ( he had the project of making one). You can try contacting him at his email!

Yes probably, in January/February. Most people have DSL now, so it's time for high quality versions! 8)
You will see that the video was de-interlaced.
neil_swingler wrote:It needs to be performed before applying any slow motion effects as well.
I will do some tests: applying slow motion before or after the de-interlacing. Thanks for the tip. Note that this question is also valid for Extremedreamer (Opus 2).

Thanks for this great movie. Succeeded again to make a beautiful SWOARDmovie. Hope it will soon to be downloaded in DVDquality to make the OPUSstory complete. Have to get something to get through summertime :wink: :wink: Keep on the good work guys :D
