We Hungarians are also resistant to cold - in case we input sufficient dose of alcohol.... :-) But Vodka is more for Russians, the traditional Hungarian strong spirit is Pálinka (anyone ever tried here?)

As for the motorbike, not a bad idea, however my boardbag would represent a bit of difficulty in terms of aerodynamics. (but do not even mention motorbikes to me, I have not ridden mine for like 2 months, and now here, in the atrium of the bank there is an Aprilia Mille Factory shown - my heart is bleeding....)

Pokkis, we'll try to be there arounf 20.00, make sure that you have some Finlandia with you :-)

Cheers,

István

Aerodynamics

Post by István » Tuesday 25 January 2005, 14:22

The best way to experience the basic principles of aerodynamics is the following: you sit on your speed bike, press the gear shift down to 1, release clutch, and full throttle. Then gear up to 2-3-4 and over 250 km/h try to sit up straight...

You will experience that you are not aerodynamic enough to stay on the bike :-)

Similarily, the board bag would represent such a problem if I tried to go to Zinal on my bike. Leave alone boots, cold weather and other diffculties....

Cheers,

István
