I think you're partially right pokkis, it will propably solve newly created messages after the upgrade. The problem still remains if I'm not mistaking, because the data now is stored in a database in a non-utf8 way so it can be quite a hassle to transform all this data to utf8.pokkis wrote:btw i did checked my version 3 installation and it is utf8, so it might be that conversion of 2 to 3 does take care of that automatically.

I think Patrice has in target the move to a newer version...it takes some time to organize and make sucessfully.....Maybe it will solves all issues regarding encoding....
