It's 8,5 sqm, Hot Sails Maui Stealth, no cam freerace sail, good old model from '99 bought at cheap price about in 2003.
I could also use a 2003 9,5 Stealth, stored now outside Venice, more hassle in rigging (mast 520) and handling, but I'll try it in the future
Starboard specs say sail range 5-11, but obviously over a superlight wind board the bigger sizes give some more push, depending also from the weight of the sailor. But you also have to consider the handling of the sail, as Serenity is NOT an easy beginner board, is 61,5 cm max wide and with round hull in section.
The result of such a special board, olimpic canoe or kayak shape, is an amazing speed in 5-10 knots range, so the most common situation we have here in Venice; thanks to Serenity now I can do really sporty windsurf almost everyday, and I've windsurfed already 5 times since 1 of april (1/4 of the days) versus 13 times total last season...

Please also consider that in Venice I go windsurfing with my boat and rig on shallow water directly over water surface, so I could have some problems rigging a cambered sail, the easier the better.
