Hello,
Thank you for the videos.
One question concerning snowboard competitions compared to ski competitions : I've noticed that snowboard races are scheduled late in the day (aternoon) rather than early in the morning as it is for ski. My guess is that snowboard races need softer snows than ski ones. So my question is : when snow is very hard and frozen, is it possible to race ?

Actually we do race in the mornings, first run is normally 9 am. It takes 2 hours or more to complete 2 runs of qualifiers for 100 people. Then it takes 2-2.5 hours to go through the finals. We cant get races done in the morning because of the time frame to get through the qualis. We did a race in Holimont, NY this year, in which they ran 20 second intervals on the course and we could have been done by late morning with that quick format, but timing for parallel races is complicated, and often we have delays, so its hard to keep it running smooth. And we love harder snow, it makes for a fair race, and you can run a much more aggressive line if it is.
