The ones of you who's using this boot and no spring system, which setting do you use for the adjustment at the rear handling the angle of the boot?
I've tried #3 for both boots but then the front leg will hurt after a couple of hours. #2 on the fron leg and #3 on the rear seems to work better.

A spring system (standard DeeLuxe RAB with a softer spring than original but with a closed setting and set like the position 4 (fairly straight): because it is more confortable (less painful for tibia) than a fixed system and it allows a greater flexibility of movement.starikashka wrote:why do you use spring system on front foot?H2O wrote:front boot with a spring system (rab) and rear boot in walk-mode.
My rear boot is permanently in walk mode as I removed any system.

Yes, my design intended to provide maximum comfort and control as I set my bindings at 55° (front-flat) and 35°/38° (rear-with Burton Unicant) with boot (DeeLuxe Le Mans) mp 27 and a stance of 49 cm (I am 175), with wide boards (22,5-22,7).
I also ride with Head Stratos fully softened with ACSS.

First is`s a feet comfort that depends from boot and liner design or proper bootfitting.
Second is a sort of overall riding comfort which is also depends from stiffnes of your setup.
I can`t agree that increased comfort will not compromise control if comfort is reached by changing stiffness.
Am i wrong?
By the way

later one after upgrading Palau thermoliner.
Buckles upgraded both control and comfort as well as BTS and Fintec.

Am i wrong when saying that reducing stiffness is increasing comfort and reduce control?
I can accept that you are happy with your boots and have lot of comfort and enough control

Statemet that Pietro made makes me think that he believe that softening the boots maximize comfort and control same time. Is it really possible?
It`s just clarification. I want to understand.

Yes!starikashka wrote:Maximum comfort and control in same time? Do you believe it is possible?
1) Comfort
- Piste: DeeLuxe LeMans/Head Stratos setted as I wrote before
- OffPiste: Garmont MegaLite, very light touring boot with molded liner and with a modified forward lean system; so I ride a Pogo Shaman 193 swallowtail
2) Control
- bindings setted as I told before, with the rear boot open at maximum 35°/38° (stability and transmission/quick edge to edge/control independently from the boot softness/rear shoulder more open, like a surf style stance) + a bit wider stance with a 7° Burton Unicant under the rear binding (comfort and stability/weight centered/better transmission) + a front boot more angled for directionality + an absolutely rotational style.
So, and with rotation, you can use the lateral stiffness (transmission/control) and the frontal softness of the boots (comfort).
