Conshox!

Post by nils » Sunday 19 December 2004, 19:12

Actually the Swoard is designed to work better without it :)...
It somehow modifies the way the edge bends around a perfect arc, because it creates a strong point at the beginning at the conshox!

But if Katsu has fun with it :) its fine with me !

about conshox

Post by Katsunori » Monday 20 December 2004, 14:41

Yesterday, I use this conshox with swoard at easy slope.
I feel little harder than only swoard.
A little snow falling in japan, yet.
I can try it at the limited easy slope.
(Extreme slope is not open)
When A lot of snow falling in japan, so I can try conshox in an extreme slope.
So I never try it in an extreme situation.
Vibrations effect are unknown.(sorry)
Last year, I think more harder swoard.
Conshox is not spoile swoard, nils.
Add little harder.(and little heavy)

I've build an aluminium proto, TD1 style (you can see it on the french forum ), the version 1 i've build is very simple but the second one (which is only 3D map at this time  ) is close to this korean model.

I have the same problem with the wear of the aluminium step-in U when i clip (i think i will have to change it each year). I have a very strong doubt about the way they solve the problem : The little peace of steal they put on the top of the U only protect it when you clip, up to down. Unfortunately, when you use step in bindings, wear and rubbing is all around the hole, not only on the top (for example, if you are half millimeter front or back the exact center of the hole, clipping will wear the lateral sides of the hole). i supose that with one year of use, even if the top of the u is not worn, it will have a strong slack, and will have to be replaced. I Don't know since how long this model is sold and if they have test it with a long use.

(However id to put a steal part on the U is good  )

I'm curious to see your test report Roman ...

If anyone need helps for Korean, I can help...

Post by guitart » Sunday 9 January 2005, 21:46

I am Korean and live in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Does anybody need Korean translation?
I can help you.

I heard that new S5 binding is really stiff.

New S5 INTEC weighs only 685g which means the lightest aluminium bining in the world. Furthermore, stainless heel adapter helps the engagement between binding and boots with less efforts. And, no free play at all.

They also produce regular race binding (new S5 recover) with more lateral flexibility. See http://www.snowboardshop.co.kr/new-S5-recover.htm

According to their explanation, they combined the advantage of Plastic binding (flexibility) and that of aluminium binding (hard and durability).

I am very proud of this binding. So, I will be pleased to help you.

Hello guitart,

I have sent several emails to the snowboardshop, snowboardshop@snowboardshop.co.kr

They haven't answer me at all, which makes me think they don't speak english or they don't want to send that awesome, great looking binding to Finland :(

Would you be so kind and try to find out how to contact the Korean guys and how to order S5? Most probably I would order 3-4 pairs of them.

Many thanks,
Kari

Post by guitart » Monday 10 January 2005, 23:18

Hello Whitey,

Today, I sent an e-mail to the snowboardshop to introduce 'skategoat.'
Altough I didn't receive the response yet, I believe that he got my e-mail and now thinking...

Anyway, if you guys are really interested in the binding, I could make a phone call to the shop to help you.

I hope that he might export some pair of binding to you. I will send an e-mail again. Let me know your information to introduce you to him.

S5 Stepin is out of stock

Post by guitart » Tuesday 11 January 2005, 0:06

According to their web-page, their S5 stepin binding is out of stock, now.
And, he would restart selling it from June, 2005.

I don't know if there is a stock of S5 RECOVER regular bindings, yet.

Response from Snowboardshop.co.kr

Post by guitart » Tuesday 11 January 2005, 10:33

I've got a response from S5 binding.

He said that the production quantity of the binding is limited due to the lack of production facility, for the moment. He would try to enlarge their production capacity to increase production rate.

Anyway, skategoat Whitey! Let me know the exact quantity you need.
Depending on the quantity, he may take it into account.
