Skwal

Post by István » Wednesday 17 November 2004, 17:43

Hmmm, Skwal - Cool, never tried it. On the other hand it is absolutely the opposite of the wide-board concept.....

I had issues on my Silberpfeil with the angles, so what would I experience on a signifficantly wider board?

Cheers,

István

Yes, cool if you ride on a blue track...try it on a steep double diamond with people in the middle... and then those 75° angles will be a lot of fun...

Not for me. Thanks. Big waste of money.

Heh, there is no way one could ride those things with 75 angles :) my Bastard is 14 cm width and it requires 80/85 minimum :)
But seriously 75 angles are not so bad, i'm riding those everyday as well in Zinal video with those numbers :) but this season i try to learn ride my Swoard with more modest ones 8)

Half the width of a swoard and double the angles= diametrically opposed to the EC philosophy. :? I think it's more a marketing scheme directed to racers who might want to carve maybe :?

Pokkis is right, the stance on a Skwal is not 75 degrees. The lowest angle I could apply to my Silberpfeil (width 18.5cm) was 66 at the back, with cants, lifts, etc, with a boot size of 44 to avoid overhang.

I guess the stance on the Skwal will be pretty much close to 90 degrees (actually in line with the boards line). Or you do not go that deep....

Cheers,

István
