Hi, had to solve the same problem a month ago.
If you live in Milan or nearby the easiest and cheapest way is to make a return day trip by train. If you buy the ticket two (resp. one) weeks in advance it costs you 38 (resp. 58 ) euro return. (with Trenitalia SMART, SMART 2)
You will avoid not only expensive shipping costs but also tax you would have to pay when sent from CH to EU country by post even for second hand goods. Beside you can check your stuff when picking it up.
Good luck
Edit: sorry didn’t realize that you are sending it.. in this case offer this option to the receiver

starikashka, You know, the limit of 150 cm for non business senders is a very good bound to keep back most interessting boards in Switzerland
Otherwise such limitations helps immigrants to keep focus to do a good work on the main job and not to come more and more a powerfull E-Bay seller of snowboards.
But why didn't carvers of Russia bee proud about their own brands/boards, like e.g. Atom Ultimate?

any kind of boots and bindings.

Re: How ship Snowboard from CH to IT
If you come to ECS2010, and if you bring the board with you, one of us (italians) can bring it to Italy and then ship it from here to its final destination (or deliver it directly - what is its final destination?)ziploader wrote:Has anybody an idea, how I can ship an snowboard from Bern/Switzerland to Italy ?

Just for reference, I have sent a board from Trento to near Alessandria for around 25 euro.

no-no we are not greedy, there are ten-thousends of skis and snowboards which have been transported to the east. This stuff was always for free. You can find some stuff of it now on e-bay-related sites on these countrys.

So Ziploader, You think now, I should throw away my Montasio cheese?
(Beside that, I typed these letters on a computer-keyboard I bought last June. Under the keys there is a label: Made in Germany and not "Made in China". Please flip Your own keyboard, where was it produced? I hope You didn't help to decrease economy figures by -5% last Year of Your country.)
Verry viewtimes, like I decide to go riding on snowboards in the next weeks, I pass verry close to Italy - watch first picture below (left of the crosses is Italia, right of it is Switzerland, from black line to black line are 1000 meters). But unfortunatly there is no Italian post office all around. So I can't help You to bring Your board to Italy.
But this winter I enjoyed it, to ride on resorts, where most cars had an I on their signs. I didn't count with how many Italians I was going up on the T-bar lift. I remeber me just to an kindly and sweet Italian girl from Novara and I felt me on the T-bar-lift like Berlusconi for some view minutes.
But ziploader, I can't realy follow the problems You have! Next Italian post office is only 1 hour 40 minutes away from Bern. (for a price of Euro 37.50.- both ways)
So what can be better then to arrive in Italy some minutes past nine in the morning, drinking there a tastfull Italian coffee, go to the post office for deliver the board and after that to do carving on steep slopes right above the village.
But unfortunatly, You will find there only one blue slope (the one beside the baby-lift), 60% of slopes are red, 30% are black. For the cheap ticket-price of less then SFr. 43.- a day, or SFr. 34.- a day during the week, they don't prepare some extra blue slopes for beginners.
(Beside this, people there, rode last weekend on 40 cm of fresh powdersnow, at a clear sunny sky)
So watch the picture below. What can You see there? A tiny Italian car and tonns of snow. It seems Italians have not the passion to drive big cars, but more to ride on a amount of big snow.
