Last week the mountains have been on the best side of late autumn - all blue and clear sky! +15° on 1500 meters, freezing level up to 3500 meters - best time for hiking and cycling, or Glacier-snowboarding - no/less tourists at all.
As You can see on picture below, wintertime from a month ago was great. So I look foreward for to snow will fall in December and in some weeks they can prepare this slope on picture for to do a little snowboarding (without any silver iodide improvements)!

Remark: This area on picture during wintertime is a blue marked slope only (= easy to ride / straight down type / this section comes with about 200 m of high). Right 100 m behind me, was a 450 m short beginners skilift. As we know it all, some well feedet carving hereos, from far away of the mountains, prefere in a high
grade to present themself (with some so caled highend carving boards) on similar steep slopes (like on Sivretta-Nova or Soelden), just because there such slopes are marked as scary black slopes.

Hello Fellow carvers,

I finally was able to secure a room in Zinal for the ECS2010.
It seems that most hotels are already booked solid.
I have gotten a positive answer from hotel Europe (info@europezinal.ch - and not info@hoteleuropezinal.ch as reported on their site.)

Anyway: if someone is left out and wants to share a double room, it is OK for me.....

Seriously: to contain expenses, I have changed my pre-reservation from hotel europe to the bed and breakfast in Pralong.
So: a room should be now available at hotel Europe.
