Hi,
Going to visit Innsbruck with my family during Easter (8.-12.4).
Can you give some hints on good accomodation in this area? Have a rental car, so not necessary to stay in Innsbruck city.
There are plenty of resorts around Innsbruck. Can you suggest where to go and what places I shoud stay away?
Thanks,
Ari

Axamer Lizum is very close (you can see the city from the slopes), it has a few nicer reds but it doesn't offer a lot of variety. If the slopes are great that's no problem for me, but unlike Soelden where there is always a nice slope somewhere open you can;t escape bad weather or bad snow. Also not a lot of slope above the treeline, so narrower trails at the bottom. So check the circumstances before you go. There was a very nice true black slope but they've decided not to groom it ever. What a waste. Or maybe better for the body count. Also they rent Nordic boards which are a sort of carving monoski that I really wanted to try if didnt discover it too late.

Hmmm probably it will not be great around easter....

I would wait till you arrive before booking anything. Resorts are not booked out this year during easter.
Best if very warm is definitely Hintertux, if you stay in Lanersbach or Tux it shouldn't be to expensive. Also Stubai and Soelden are nice - but not as good as Hintertux IMHO. Stubai is so close to Innsbruck you can also live in Innsbruck. Stubaier Glacier gets crowded during the weekends however.
If there is powder I'ld check out Stuben or Zuers and the Arlberg region. But if fresh snow arrives you have loads of options.
