New to the sport, and loving it

Post by tpalka » Wednesday 10 March 2004, 22:48

It seems like a whirlwind week -- until 5 days ago I was a telemark skier. Saturday I was introduced to snowboarding, on Sunday my friends Scott and Lisa put me on a carving setup, and I fell in love with it :) Can't wait to get out again, but have to put in some time at work.

I posted some pictures and a video, taken by Lisa, on my website -- should be good for laughs:

So stoked, :D

Hey, it's Lisa and Dr. Scott! I just met them 2 weeks ago at the Summit Expression Session in CO. I had fun riding with them...

Wow, you are doing incredible for riding only 2 days, though it looks like you spent some good quality time in the trees :)

Good luck, and have fun.

Thank you! It is an incredible feeling -- so much fun. Quality time in the trees was definitely there, and I suspect there'll be lots more of it :) Dr. Scott and Lisa are great instructors, I feel very lucky that they took me under their wings.

Now the big question is: can I cut out of work tomorrow morning for a few hours to go make some turns...
