Hello everyone,
first of all congratulation for your website.
this season i decided to buy new hardboots.
At the moment I am still using my old Raichle 121 and F2 Speedster SL 158 (sometimes my older Rossignol R173)
The problem is that after long rides they are hurting because i do not get enough hold and I have to tight them high.
A friend of mine is ready to sell me his old northwave which seems to be the best boots ever...
He was very happy with it but he does not want to carry on with snowboard.
Those boots seems to have suffer during the last years.
The liner has to be changed and they are slightly to short for my feets (length). I have to change the liner anyway and I think that if I use foam injected liner it would be ok. (he has europeen size 43 I have 44)
The plastics are used and the spring mecanism seems to work hardly.
Another possibility would be to buy new boots like the UPZ or Deeluxe
Here is my question based on your experience, would you rather "reactivate" the northwave or buy new one?
Thank you for your answer.
new boots or reactivate old northwave

Well
Welcome
Get a new liner, no real need for injection in a NW because they usally fit well...a thermo liner should do the trick ( i have a pair of injected liners in SB121 and they fit perfect, but its sometimes too painfull for cruising).
Spring system is so basic it has to work unless its really broken ( check pics on the forum or website to see how they look new and then modified ( check the faq here).
It the plastic is not broken or teared a part its still the best boot available ( see world cup
