starikashka wrote:Alex, thanks. So, you mean that guy on the excarving video will skidding if he will ride on the steeper slope? He do not using push-pull.
yes, sure on hard snow and steep slopes!!! the last year I had the same fault and no problem on flat slope but at the ecs on steeps slopes like barthelemy... skidding every turn especially in front side!
This year my best improvement was to add better push&pull, and my skidding problems are terminated ... for next year I hope I will have my English improved

I`m working in a dual-language company and we have learned very quick communication tool that called V.O.D.K.A., very effective...if i go to Zinal next year i can explain how it works to you in Russian, and you will understand
P.S. after two or three years since company was established CEO had prohibited this tool.

I totally agree with Alex about his considerations on push-pull and rotation.
On steep slopes or hard conditions a great leg amplitude is a key point to make good carving.

I remember Jacques explained indeed that the bending is realy neccesary to avoid the skidding. He always shouted before we went into the turn "bend, bend, bend!!!" And as much as we could.
By the way that is an excellent site, "the freecarvingspot".
Thanks for it.
A pitty we wil not be able to be there the coming days.
Have fun, the snow will be great.
