Some friends of mine were freeriding today already in Eastern Austria.
Supposedly fabulous conditions. In some places up to 2m of windblown fresh maddness. Big ground-avalanche danger though. Even windlips have aquired quite some size.
Some years ago I had my opening on the 24.09 (1000-1300m) on a low-down skifield. Looks alike this year.
Some regions have received over 150l/m² during less than 30 hrs. That's insane with 100-150 ltrs/m² still in the weather forecasts.
