i use for my gloves Shoe Goo...it is easy to put it on gloves and
they are realy good...

I use Duck tape on gloves and pants where cut by the edge. It is grey/silver but replacable after it gets worn... few years of satisfaction on leather gloves.

Guys, since then I have tested the Sikaflex 252 / SikaTack Drive on several parts of my gear and it works great. You'll see me next year in Zinal, I'll look like RubberMan

I glued pieces of leather on my gloves cause there were small holes on the finger parts; I guess I didn't use the right glue (pattex colle puissante) because almost all pieces on my fingers were gone after a few hours of riding. I was also quite disappointed about the state of leather pieces still glued on my gloves...bad quality leather maybe

anyway, I couldn't easily find polyglut neither other glue in China so I had no choice but I'll polyglut my gloves for the coming season I guess.

Celine, try to get something similar to the Sika products. Anything that they use to glue the windshields of cars should do. Those are black colour rubber based glues and should stick well to your clothes. China being a big car manufacturer should offer you a variety of these materials.

Once you get it, just apply 2-3 thin layers onto the worn parts. It will look like factory made.

I was carving with duct taped gloves with plastic milk bottles glued to the palms (ugly but they got the job done). Then by chance last month I ran across a pair of skate board slide gloves. They work really well. I simply wear a pair of under gloves and the slide gloves on top. I was worried that the pads might pull off during a turn, but so far they haven't (but Ive only used them a few times so far). I like them because I can put a bit more weight on them than I have on my home made gloves. Here is a link to their website

Hi guys!

Yesterday I was repairing my holes on my gloves with Sikaflex, but how it seem to me that the surface created for Sikaflex over my gloves should not slide fine , I tried to glue a piece of P-TEX 200 over the palm of both gloves, after some hours waiting ,I checked how strong these pieces was glued and the result was negative , I was able easily remove the P-tex from both gloves, the Sikaflex don't work . (I think it's because of the flat surface of the P-TX )

How do you glue these pieces , or what product are you using to glue plastic, P-tex etc to the palm of your gloves??

Sika Tack-drive.

Used in automotive industry to fix glasses. Black rubber like material when cured. Slides well enough. Resistant to wear. You can also use it to attach anything onto your gloves / pants / jackets, but I would say just prepare a nice layer on your gear and it will do.

You should be able to locate a dealer close to you on internet.
