Post by polako » Wednesday 21 February 2007, 1:26

hello EC freaks

just recently went back to my roots and tried alpine board one more time.
I have to say one thing.......this is awesome !!!!
For a couple of years I really tried to convince myself that jetski, surfing
can get me same kind of excitement that snowboard used to, oh boy ...was I so wrong.
Anyway, just came back from Colorado and decided to get a my own board.
My budget is very limited(have to support my other hobbys  )
and found used Hot special 167, price is right and just want to know
if I should go for it.
any input is really appreciated
I am 180cm tall nad wiegh 75kg(if it helps)

ps.
any(many) SWORD lovers, give me a break
If I had money I would go for it, unfortunately
760 bigbore in my superjet is yelling I NEED NEW TOPEND !!!
Kawi 15F says ..how about new prop??
I hope you get the point
Great forum and tons of info, keep up good work

Welcome on board again,

the Hot is a reaally good board and should work well with your specs. Just take care in what condition you buy it. How many days of riding? Preload? Edges etc.

But if this is ok and also the price, go for it.

But hey better idea from my side: Sell off your Surfboards, JetSkis and all that stuff and then you can buy a swoard, a Virus and a Pogo Powdergun for the Pow Days. Then you will get really happy. :D

its january.... you finish your work ...say at four and 20 minutes later
you on the beach with your buddies, waves are 2 meters high, sky is the limit.

Lets get back to my board,
what do you mean by preload and what am I suppose to look at

I don't know, if preload is the correct word. Another word is camber and describes the distance between base and floor, when board is lying flat on the ground (without bindings).

Another solution. Sell your house and buy a new one somewhere in the rockies. It-s not so hot there and there is much more snow than in Forida. Very good conditions for snowboarding. :D
