Bomber BTS Spring review?

Post by skategoat » Sunday 4 February 2007, 17:05

Excuse me if this has been discussed before but I can't find anything specific in a search. Have Jacques or Patrice tried out the Bomber BTS spring system with Deelux boots? Since the Northwave boots are history, we need alternatives with the same feel and performance. I'm wondering the BTS offers EC style range of movement for the Deelux/Raichle boot.

I bought a pair of BTS and added it to my Indys but since I have never tried Northwaves, I don't know what to compare it to. I can tell you that compared to the stock RAB springs, they are a huge improvement for free-riding and carving. Wider range of motion but good control over the flex is what I like best.

I have Indy's as well and haven't tried the northwave, but the Swoardteam have NW 900, which is out of production.

I think the heel doesn't stick out like other alpine boots, which results in less contact with the slope on backside and the joint axxis is higher up, which permits easier flexion and better spring fonctionning.

After reading tuning articles in this forum I proceeded like this:
