Plate
It's nothing more than a riserplate like the F2 Conshoxx was a few years ago. Seems that some WCriders have some results with these. Seems that your angle to the snow becomes bigger and you have more pressure and stability while boarding on rails. But I am just a recreational rider. So I don't give a sh............. when I get down the slopes a few minutes or seconds slower than these guys and girls. So I can enjoy the beautiful mountains and views more like they do hahahaha.........jfamin wrote:Very nice... what is it ?
Greets, Hans.
It is also riser plate, but more importanlyjfamin wrote:Very nice... what is it ?
-it moves forces of binding to closer to edge of board,
-it eliminates twist of board structure,
-it acts as dampener between board and binding
-it has been success on race cources
-it costs hell of lot (300 EUR)
I would be interested to test one

well
if i was racing maybe, but with the goal of beeing as low as possible on the board, i'm not sure i'd like something that raises you up. Also something that we have already with our wide boards is the edge power because of the lower angles.
300 euros is money, but when u manufacture things nowadays, price are quick to raise !

I'ld rather go for the original, the hangl spirig snowboard plate. I think there is already lot more thought put into it. The Hangl costs 240€ plus shipping.
Remember that all those plates only work on titanal raceboards. If there is no alu compound layer inside it might not work. The do not attach to the inserts but you just make holes like on skis.

inserts
pokkis from what i have understood, those system are drilled through the deck like good old boards... titanal must prevent the rip of the screw...
I'm personnaly very sceptical about those ( been so many years we see those stuff come and go ) and can't wait till racers will be back on good old plates and win races.... Let the Schoch win on other boards than titanal and everyone will want the same boards as them....
