new Carver equipmenst question.

Post by holmes » Wednesday 22 February 2006, 21:36

Hey guys thanks for your passion and sharing it on this site! I have been boarding for 20 years now, and have finally got set up to carve. I teach surfing and know how difficult it is to un-learn a bad habit in technique, so I took a lesson from a very skilled and articulate bomber style carver. My questions now...How will A Nidecker Tornado 173 nearly 19 cm wide, I am not sure of the sidecut radius, with Catek OS2's at 55 front and rear and 3 degree front toe lift and 3 degree rear heel lift and no cant on either, with Deelux LeMans work for EC technique work? I figure I will get comfortable with the Bomber Technique and then try to learn EC. I want to be as solid and versatile as possible. So any thoughts on equipment set up will be appreciated. Whatever I get used to now, will feel normal and I would like to keep all my options open. Whenever a friend asks why I am so into the hardboots now I just show them a picture from this site, that makes it pretty clear. Thank you in advance for your support in my pursuit of the carve.

Hey Holmes,
You may want to ask the same question and perhaps link up to the Tahoecarvers.com crew. Lots of EC there, many from Bomber style background.
