New Harboots 05/06
As I know, they are the following boots you can buy
- Raichle
- Head
- UPZ
Which of these manufacturer is the best?
I thaugt about buying the Indy T or the Suzuka... or probaby UPZ? Does anybody ride the actual model of the upz?
At the moment I ride a Blax Toni and it's not stiff enough I think.

If I'm not wrong, the head are the same of Blax!domsch wrote:As I know, they are the following boots you can buy

I found them too low, so my leg suffered.
I like boots that go closer to the knee.

I bought it from a shop, which went bankrupt or gave up the snowboard section. Because this guy was also selling a lot of f2 speedsters.RicHard wrote:Ehm... where did you buy them?! It's a nice price...domsch wrote:I bought upz now
I couldn't let go this bargain...
400 CHF for new ones(approx. 260€, 300$) incl. Intec-heel
I hope it was a good choice![]()

I unfortunately couldn't try them yetPux wrote:I have UPZ boots.
They seems to be so stiff. Especially for carving. Isn't it?
I feel Suzuka as more comfortable.

They should be stiff, I use this for my speedster rs --> raceboots, so I thnk they are ok.
I still have a soft blax toni, so I can use this for freecarving. Because I read, that the intec system is not really good for EC, and on my RS I have intec.. (I am to lazy XD)
It would be my size!domsch wrote:I bought it from a shop, which went bankrupt or gave up the snowboard section. Because this guy was also selling a lot of f2 speedsters.

Re: New Harboots 05/06
I've got UPZ racing RSV boots and like them, but their liners do not fit my leg best so I've had some shin bang problems. Another problem is that they are very very stiff if it's cold outside! The best temperature for them is between 0 and -10 deg C.domsch wrote:As I know, they are the following boots you can buy

haven't tried them, but with my reactor I had to ride on walk mode for EC. Which is kind of ok, but you MUST carve the inside plastic of the back boot otherwise you'll get stuck inside like me last year in Zinal with damage to my ankle for 4 months...
Plus the burton have a longer foot for the same mondo size which require steeper angles to avoid boot overhang. To give you an idea the NW for same shoe size are approx 1.5cm shorter. That means 5 to 10 degrees difference in angle if you have a 27.5 mondo like me.

For Pokkis: 1.5 cm in binding settings..!! To give you the idea, my girlfriend with Heads (39 shoe size) can use my bindings without moving them!!!!!!!!
For Malecky: My Blax Frank are the most comfortable of all, especially if you put the modified spring system on the back. Find them used, otherwise buy the head stratos (there is also a cheaper softer version on ebay for €75 new, which has the Blax Tony spring system. Not sure if you can modify those..
