Simply click the thumb down below his video.

What about people who do both, softboots and hardboots, like me and many of us in this Forum? We can compare and enjoy the pros and the cons of both gears.

This guy is just stupid and doesn't know what he is talking about, as he probably never took the time to learn hardboot snowboarding.

This is the way to create cleavages in the society. People are no longer in the nuance of their words on social networks. This is sad. :?

Obviously, there is no limit to stupidity.
Another sad example of what social media can do to people.

He definitively is a troll. So don't take it too seriously  Part of what he said is true(hardbooters alsways talks about harboots gear and carving stuff for example...i also do that :silly: ). A little bit self irony is not such a bad thing(in my opinion).
By the way: i'm not carving for such a long time, but i have been asked a lot "is this a monoski you're riding?" :D

Note however that many alpine snowboarders who keep their chest facing the tip of the board, whatever the frontside turn or the backside turn, are looking like skiers, monoskiers or skwalers. :D But one has to nuance this: it depends on the setup (high bindings angles or not), hardboots stiff or not, fighting against the chronometer in a slalom or not, etc.

For Swoard extremecarving, we prefer water surfing position, what means shoulders and hips parallel to the board (not perpendicular) at the end of the frontside turn: our famous "Egyptian position". But well, at the end of the backside turn we also look like skiers. :D With softboots, on the backside we look like people on the toilet.

Anyway, the guy of the video can't understand such subtleties. ;-)
