Next winter we all should be able to travel more easily, with the pandemic globally behind us. We know that many of you are in need of snow and carving!

Thus we are very excited to announce here the dates of the "Swoard Demo Tour 2022". This "Tour" includes of course the main event "ExtremeCarving Session (ECS)" (19th edition) and other meetings in resorts we have "certified for EC". "Demo" does not only mean that the participants can test Swoard boards, but also that they can watch demonstrations of extremecarving by the Swoard team (the founders and Swoard instructors).

During the SDT, free lessons (in Zinal) or advices are given to explain the ride technique we have developed from 1995 to 2001. This technique, easily identifiable, is especially adapted to the width and other specificities of the SWOARD Extremecarver (now the Gen5), the snowboard that inspired extremecarving. The words "rotation", "push-pull", "fluidity" and "gesture purity" will be part of your vocabulary. Advices on the settings of bindings and boots are also provided to fully benefit from all the advantages of the SWOARD snowboards.

At least 2-3 Swoard instructors will be present at each event. The Swoard team will be complete with 5 instructors during the main event "ExtremeCarving Session" in Zinal.

The model SWOARD Dual2 will also be available, with another new freeride/freecarve model (info soon)! Therefore the riders in soft boots are welcome!

The model SWOARD Extremecarver Pro2 is made in limited series by hand (in 3 sizes and 5 flexes): thus only few demo boards are available. The SWOARD-UPZ EC12 hardboots and the SWOARD Redline2 bindings are not in demo as the settings take too much time, but a few items can be seen and touched.

Without your help and passion, those events would not be possible since 18 years. We believe that this is contributing to make snowboard carving trendier in Europe and in the world. Actually many brands are now following on the softboots scene mainly, but with commercial goals. Progressively we are making alpine snowboarding more popular, in parallel to softboots carving.

Hello Bram,

Not yet! Our friend Stéphane who was in charge of the restaurant in Sorebois, and who was cooking our big Saturday dinner, has left (for another restaurant, in the village Mission). Thus we need some time with the new manager in Sorebois.
There are also some uncertainties with the Covid restrictions.
We will keep you informed and we will open the registration as soon as possible. For sure the event will take place. Thus, focus for now on the accommodation.

Hello dear snowboarders and friends,

Here is a small update on the 19th ExtremeCarving Session (29-30-31 Jan, 2022, Zinal, Switzerland).
For sure the event will take place... if the resort is still open. The pandemic situation is degrading in Europe.

But we are quite optimistic. Remember that last year Switzerland was one of the rare countries in Europe with open ski resorts!

Next week we will get more info and decisions from the government.

We will open the registrations soon and the online purchase of the packages.

Prices will be the same as last year. The packages include the skipass (2 or 3 days) at better price, the reserved slope and the access to the stand with demo boards.

We have to renounce to the big dinner on Saturday evening. But for the ambiance, there will be a stand at Sorebois (2450m), with demo boards and a place with food, drinks, soups, ...

For registrations and packages, it's a last-minute process like last year because of the uncertainties related to the pandemic. But it is done since today in the dedicated topic.

As noted, today the government has announced good news for the participants coming from abroad! No need for a test if you are vaccinated or recovered. And on the slopes, no masks, except in the cable cars.

The snow is very good on our favourite slopes! Le Col is perfect, Durand too, and the groomers did a great job on the Barthélémy!

These conditions are not going to change with the persistent good weather!
