after skiing for 10 years, and then soft snowboarding for 10 years more, yesterday I've just made my first jump into hard SB: found a super bargain and bought this old board (Burton Ultra Prime 62):

along with these bindings (Burton Carrier Automat):

I'm 173 cm, 69 kg, and sporty enough, and I can say I have quite good skills in carving (at least with soft SB), so theoretically the board should be quite right for me, at least in terms of size. But as far as I read, it's very stiff, so maybe not the simplest board for a beginner.
Now, questions:
1) I know it's really (reaaaaally!) old gear, but it was so perfect and not worn at all, and the price was so good, I couldn't resist.. what do you think about them? Do you think I can start with it?
2) Suggestions for boots? Currently I only own 4-lever alpine ski boots. I know they should not be used, but maybe just to give everything a try...
Thank you everybody!
