Rob Stevens wrote:On another note: Patrice. Don't go to Whistler in March. The snow right now is brutal there and much better here in the Alberta Rockies (Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, Nakiska, ect...). Send me an email and I can point you in the right directions. Lots of people to stay with, free lifts and some hard carving.
OK thank you, I'm going to write you an e-mail. You are in Banff? I will come there too. But mainly for freeriding (with soft boots) with a good friend. But I take also my Swoard and hard boots
Rob Stevens wrote:Finally: Do you know where a guy could get a copy of "Nuit de la Glisse"? It's a film I rode on back in '91 with Serge V, Bertrand Denervaud and a couple of other guys named Fritz and Martin. I've never seen it and would like to as it was shot about a year after I got into hardboots. Classic, old-school, narrow-stance (12 inces I think)"Vitelli Turns" by the whole crew.
Cool!

Do you know when was released this movie? In winter 91-92 or 92-93? Because there are new editions of "Nuit de la Glisse" every year.

Patrice and Nils;
We filmed during the season of 1990-91 and the main riders were Vitelli, Denervaud, Martin ? and Fritz ?. As to when t was released... i don't have a clue.
see my email back to you, Patrice, about your Canada trip. I'll hook you up however I can. I live in Canmore, which is 15 minutes from Banff towards Calgary.

Hi Rob,
That's very nice of you touring Patrice around. Last year in Aspen, Patrice and Nils loved Taco Bells but heck, that's junky food !!
Take them to that fondue place on the main street of Banff (I don't remember the name) where you can try caribou and other exotic (to the Swiss guy) food.
You are lucky Rob, Patrice is not only an excellent rider but he is also a very good instructor.

Hi Y'all;
Very stoked to ride with these guys.
Might only get a day or two in. Maybe some sledding in Golden. After this snowfall, it should be sick out there. (the noboard will be on scene as well and I'm gonna shoot some digi to post if I can). for sure some of this EC action as well. It's been a few years since the hard gear last saw snow, but this heelside laydown looks too good to miss out on.
Here in Alberta the alpine equipment has never been popular so to have some people around who are into it will be fun.
Yomama, the Grizzly House is on. I'll make sure everyone gets enough snake and elk in cheese.
