Zinal is upgrading

Most people know, that the new cable car from Grimentz to Zinal will be ready in November.
The new route can be seen here:
http://www.rma.ch/
Select pistes at the top and then choose Zinal.

What I didn´t know is, that they also plan to change the lift of Combe Durand (to famous Barthelemy)
into a 4-seated chair lift (and seats are heated).
That is really good news.
Seems that Zinal has understood the signs of time.

where did you find the info regarding the new lift to barthelemy?

i sincerely hope it won't get to crowded then, since both perfect black pistes will be easily accessible to all people
it sounds a bit brutal to say this but the less experienced people were reluctant to take the lift to durand/barthelemy because of the lift itself
and to be honest: i think that's a good thing
you have to have proper experience to go down barthelemy so it's save for yourself and the people surrounding you on the piste

but hey, we'll see how it will turn out to be
