This plate was developed to merge: the control you have riding without plates and massive edgehold you get riding with standard monoplates.
Here is a short presentation of SENSE Quadroplate:
And here is a little video that has been shot on Christmas on Moelltal riding also with Quadroplate:

very nice indeed
Re: SENSE presenting quadroplate FLEX4
Please explain how it works : the plate seems to be splited in the middle, right?
Is it a sliding plate like Jasey Jay one or 2 lifting plates?

Re: SENSE presenting quadroplate FLEX4
Hi
The plate works on the same principle as any other sliding mono-plate (apex, sigi, boiler-plate,Jasey Jay plate....),It is also fixed to the board the same way, BUT there is a big difference, because this plate is fully adjustable both in longitudinal and torsional stiffness. You can set it to be longitudinally very stiff and at the same time with almost zero torsional stiffness..and vice versa....And torsional stiffness of the plate is very important if you think about it. When you ride your board without any plates, you torsionaly twist it with your legs...thus allowing you to easily control your: initiation of a turn, sliding when needed, transitions between turns....it gives you that micro control over your board that you need, and miss when riding with normal mono-plates....someone that rides a mono-plate (torsionaly stiff) for the first time, usually needs some time to get used to it...that is mostly because of the loss of this micro-control between legs.
So as i said, this plate gives you the control you have riding without plates and the same edge-hold you get riding with standard mono-plates
