Ofterschwang / Balderschwang - experiences

I have the opportunity to go to one of both places the week before christmas (we will probably go to Balderschwang if the snow at Ofterschwang isn't good enough). I have checked the slopemaps and they both seem to be very small resorts. I don't think this is a problem, as long as the snow is good and we have decent slopes for practicing EC. In big resorts I usually pick out three slopes I ride 90% of the time, I don't really care about exploring new slopes all day long.

they often have a lot of snow in Ofterschwang and Balderschwang.

If the resort is to small for you then you can go to Oberstdorf Fellhorn http://www.das-hoechste.de/winter/statu ... inter.html
which is larger and only a few minutes away.

Any favorite slopes in the area or nearby areas? We will probably travel to other resorts a few times as well.

The weltcup piste was very nice, also ran into a very good instructor from the Gunzesried side of the mountain nicknamed 'Ali'. He's usually at the Ofterschwang base station 08:30 for first tracks, just tap him on his shoulder if you want a lesson.
