The first Karelian EC-event is becoming reality! Organized by the “Finnish EC-team”, the event will be held in "Mt. Koli"
. The Koli Ski resort is located in Eastern Finland, some 500km northeast from the capital Helsinki, in middle of the most beautiful and wild national park.Welcome to experience the wild nature, great landscape and one of the steepest EC-slope in Europe - “Ukko”.
We offer technique clinics for beginners to learn the correct Push & Pull technic and clinics for more skilled riders to learn the magic of linked lay down turns.
We'll have a camera on the slopes during the event and after full day of riding we'll be watching the photos, film of the day (and for some reason, it seems impossible to avoid the classic Hard Attack) and of course analyse the riding techniques for improving all participants' EC Skills.
Despite the serious nature of the event the bar is open with beer and other refreshers available. As it is traditional in EC-event, we also have Saturday evening dinner in a hotel. Red, Yellow or Blue packages are unfortunately not available but probably we have surprise gift?)
We have reserved a couple of rooms from Sokos Hotel Koli with special price for the dates 6.- 9.3.2014. A Room for three person costs 142 euros/night, including breakfast and the hotel Sauna.A Spa department is also available for use with additional fee. The Sokos Hotel Koli is located on right top of the slopes and only a few hundred meters walk from the top of Mt. Koli and it's nationally known views!
Cabins/cottages are also available in the area. You'll find more information on the Koli website at http://www.koli.fi.
If You are an enthusiastic EC-rider - whether a beginner or already an experienced old veteran- the Koli-event is for you.
