Deeluxe Track 325 vs 425?

Post by soson75 » Thursday 28 December 2017, 23:41

Hey guys
In Tux I tried the new Upz but it was too hard for me.
Looking for new boots I can find deluxe 325 and 425.
Do you have any experience with them?
Any advice appreciated.

My old Raichle are not sufficient already after 20 years or so.

Thanx and happy new year

Peter (svk)

With red tongue you get it softer.
And if adjusting spring did not helped then you can also change to another spring system.
Anyway you need DGSS also for Deeluxe boots

After some searching I see that dlx 425 are recommended for carve and upz at series. But I need to test how it fits

That´s the point - and mostly the problem. :(
For now you know, that RC10 or 11 will only fit you with many changes.
But the boot itself did fit? So what about RC8? I really love them.
Track 325 and 425 are softer than RC 10 and 11.
But everyone has to find out himself which boot is the best for him.
Depends on so many things that any advice will be wrong at the end.

RC8 are available at Surfinsel in Vienna.
There shouldn´t be too many changes to the new AT8.
Seems it´s "only" the carbon.

Thank you for the tips. I bought dark grey RC8 second hand (used maybe 5 days-they are like new). Now I will try them in the original status and maybe later install the acss? system. What is the canting disk good for? Do any of you use it? Are there any other fine tuning tips for the new boots. I will probably need to install volume pads above my fingers.

:bravo:

Canting on the boots are needed if you have O- or X-legs.

Fine tuning: I changed the original inner sole, because my feet had too much volume inside the boot.
I first thought, I took the wrong size.
Changed to Bama Outdoor and hiking soles and they give me less volume and a perfect fit.
Note: don´t buy inner soles in street shoe sizes for your hardboot. They will be much too big. :lol2:
Can be cut of course, ....

The tongue has a velcro. Use this option.

Fine, that you found a good boot for you.
Come to Tux next time and we´ll have a drink on it. :D

For sure. I am even thinking to go to Zinal. Hopefully I fix it next week.
For the volume pads, is there a video how to use them?

Don´t know any. I think it has something to do with try and error.
Feet are so different. :silly:

DeeLuxe 325 vs 425 (vs 700?) ..... depends what shape your feet have.
The 325 and 425 are good for "normal"/smaler feet, also the UPZ is in shape very close to the 325/425.
The DeeLuxe 700 is for example totaly different in shape and good for riders with wider feet.
This is my experience so long with 2016/2017 models......
And i find the 700 Model is soft enough for free carving also.

Cheers,
Armin
