It is interesting, very interesting actually. I had been skiing before I started snowboarding and was quite good at it and I usually ride one day in the season on skis, for the last few years carving skis and I quite like it and although I can ski pretty good with carving skis I always regret taking...

If I'm not mistaken, TD2 and TiD2 have a 5 year warranty :D , so they won't be selling those parts in the period of 5 years but rather replace them free of charge. :D And I doubt they'll send spare parts a couple of times without wanting a broken part for inspection... Still very tempted by T...

The thing I came across is that now everybody who wants to try or learn snowboarding starts on soft gear. Everything is taught on soft gear. In Slovenia (don't know how is it elsewhere) even lessons for instructors are taught and require soft gear. And I suppose it is indeed more comfy and easier to...

Could you share some info about the boards with us? I noticed in Zinal that demo/proto boards (I hope I was looking at the right ones - blue) didn't have the tip/tail protection or full edge wrap which some people pointed out already as a bit weak point. Is there going to be some protection? And wha...

I also contacted Northwave, but they replied to me that in near future they don't plan on producing hardboots. And that was about it. It is worth asking them however and if I guess if we can get more people into alpine riding companies might again become interested into production of hardboots. That...

Indeed it is a board I had with me in Zinal. I rode it the whole week in Zinal so I good a pretty good picture about the board. Goltes had been making boards for quite a while now, and I sort of follow their development from my first curves on snowboard back in early 90's. I learned how to ride on t...

As I've said, there will always be people prejudiced, no matter what. I know some that especially don't like carvers. Actually they have a reason for hate. They broke their legs when their ski got caught in one of our deep, beautifuly and delicately cut trenches... My experience is though that in ge...

I do not agree that we are the black sheeps, but it's true that people have prejudice about snowboarders. Most people notice and aknowledge the skill of the rider if one rides well, just as I notice a skier that has skill to ride hard and fast and has CONTROL over his skis. Of course, no matter how ...

Well, it has happened to me as well, actually it was worse, but not for me (at least not physically). And I've seen it happen to other carvers too. 8O I was carving and suddenly there came an elderly skier from above with considerable speed. Obviously he didn't expect me to make a turn (of which I a...

Pokkis : do you have a video of our Slovenian friend contributor riding a Goltes (sp?) board ? (I am sorry pal I don't remeber your name). IMHO, it was among the smoothest and nicest EC Style in Zinal... Hi sml! I guess you are referring to me and I'm really flattered  , but I really think th...

Yes, I also think this is a good idea! There are no more custom duties within the EU, so EU citizens would definitely benefit, also there wouldn't be any taxes, identities of forum members are more or less known and if moderators allow it it's also free of any commission! I think there were s...

And also my 2 cents to add... P&J are probably the best when it comes to EC. Is being the best the only way for people to approve that you are able to do something? I guess not. Perhaps not the best example, but nevertheless: Is achieving world record in 100 run or winning the olympic medal t...
