If you want to do EC you need a lot of flex in the shell and then a top strap is not needed. As you correctly noted, hardboots are softer (more flexible) than skiboots. I do both skiing (most slalom and GS and I used to compete and ski gates previously) and snowboarding (carving). On the skis the mo...

I hope the Swoard team will provide a board selection guide as for the Extremecarver. I own both an Extremecarver 168M and H. In case I will buy a Dual it will be for the powder days, both when it is fresh and begins to be beaten up. I also want to use my hardboots. Should it then be a 175 which I t...

Great :clap2: I think we need more of this kind of riding to develop the sport further and see the variety. Having such kind of moves in an EC-film will make it more interesting to other than the inner core of enthusiasts. Personally, I am not certain that I want to risk my legs and knees in order t...

I also broke a heel bail (front foot) on a TD2 binding. Fortunately, I have spare heel bails (titanium) for my TD2s. However, I like the F2 bindings better because they are easier to get into on the slopes, even in difficult positions. The springs at the heel bail on the TD2s are too weak, so the ba...

Heel bails for F2 Race Titanium bindings
Unfortunetely, I broke the heel bail on one of my F2 Race Titanium bindings last week. The bail is with the original, thinner diameter, not this year's model. I have asked Blue Tomato for spares, but they cannot help me. I hope that there are anyone who knows were I can buy spare bails to my binding.

Please remember the topic of the thread as Patrice also notes: The thread here is about a new Swoarder who want to understand the Swoard technique (originally called "extremecarving", but now everybody is using this term for different things). This guy is asking what could be wrong since he fails in...

Study the text and videos, both basic turns and frontside and backside in the technique section https://www.extremecarving.com/tech/tech.html . As I understand, the technique is the combination of rotation and pull in the start of the turn (backside turn), then push when you have reached the snow wi...

Hi, I have tried both the heated footbeds and the molded Surefoot ones and is very satisfied with both solutions. The argument against the shop heated footbeds is that they will be softer after a while and thus not provide the demanded stability, while the Surefoot beds (very expensive) will keep th...
