@ Schneewurm: you are right with all your questions, but I already know that and that does not help me. I really hoped that at least you know the plastic type of the AF shell? Please search one time again! For sure I'm looking for a good product, but that does not exist :-( PS: I cracked also the we...

Thanks for the answers, even I did not hear what I liked to hear! At least I'm not the only one  Yes, normally the binding is the weakest part in the system, but since I use the Ibex instead F2, this problem is solved. I used the boot for about 130 days in 3 years. I did not notice the crack w...

Cracked boot, plastic welding?

Hello I know it’s summer, but I need your help! The last day of my season on the Pitztal glacier in May was too much for my Indy. The shell of my rear boot cracked just above the heel. The crack is about 5 cm long and I did not notice anything on riding! Now I had the idea to weld the plastic. The p...

Hello

I ride both bindings and they both work fine. yes the Ibex is a little bit softer laterally.

In contrary to the F2, till now I have not managed to brake an Ibex bail.

Hello topsinger I don't know if you have already remarked, but in the French part is a very big topic about spring modifications on Head Stratos boots. Arnauld has made a system very similar to yours, but with extra holes in the boot. To your solution, have you thought about what happens, if the sha...

To add an additional nut to change the preload of the backward spring in combination with a shorter and firmer backward spring.

yes, I don't use the springs I mentioned in my first post any more, have a look to my sab topic last post. Even if I would use much harder springs, there isn't any side load on the rod, the load is charged only on pull (except with the back spring, but this one is very short).

The auxiliary mounting holes are only necessary for the backward movement, because otherwise the upper aluminium part can bend outwards and there is the risk of bending the axis. With these two extra screws the system is mechanically well defined. The two holes in the plastic of the boot are really ...

Hi Mike yes, the binding works with intec heels, I also did that for a wile. just for fun one day I mounted the original heels and was surprised about the difference. the intec heel is way stiffer than the original and that is quite remarkable, gives you more lateral flex and vibrations are better a...
