What I can say how it happened: I actally did some carving, let´s say to 45 degree agle body to snow. Not really aggressive because I was with my kids 6 and 8. They were on skis and I did accompany them. What I noticed: Where: here in Zinal, 300m from the restaurant on a not so steep slope Condition...

This time not IT: I just graduated to SWOARD Undertaker ! :o
When not breaking Swoards I work as an Eventdesigner and Technical Supervisor at Tradeshows and Events.

As I have an Event going on 3th to 8th Feb, I´m sorry to miss ECS again. But I´ll have a beer in the Zinal Pub tonight 8)

be careful with your toys...

I can give a first hand impression on the above statements: Jaques refferd to this thread after I´ve contacted them yesterday. After riding in, I would say good conditions and not doing a frontflip or getting stuck in the snow especially one turn ended in the snow and with damaged Swoard. The Advise...

Snow Conditions in Zinal

I can say there is enough and good snow on the slopes in Zinal. Le Col, the EC slope, shows brown earth in some places and I didn´t try it yet. But all the Rest looks and feels OK. If you prefer to go offpiste, there some stones looking out. Today at noon it started snowing again. From my opionon co...

Thanks for the update. I´ll let you all know how conditions are. 2 days to go, for my trip. As it turns out, nobody of the community seems to be in Zinal next week. Is there, at the home of extremecarving , actually a Snowboard teacher around ? I think about getting a lesson to work my carving style...

HY, thanks for the advice. It doesn´t look that bad on the webcams. Anyway, carving is only 50% of the trip. Also wan´t to spend some time with my family. My kids are 6 and 8 they don´t demand perfect conditions. Just snow to have a smooth ride. Your Avatar says Geneva as location so you should know...

Zinal, 6th to 12th Januar

Hello,

I just managed to book a week with my family in Zinal. I´m curios if there is anybody around at the same time.

Would be nice to meet on the slope and/or for some talk and dinner in the evening.

regards Wolfgang

Hello friends, I have to apologize but I´m not going to make to Zinal as it looks right now. So I would suggest somebody who goes to Zinal places the order.

I know from Bomber that shipping wouldn´t start before 15th of January. So it´s difficult anyway.

Greetings Wolfgang

Hello Guy, just came back from my first Swoard trip. I can tell you that the Swoard combined with the Bomber Bindings did draw some attention. It´s a shame but I have to admit more the board than me riding it. But this will hopefully change in the future. What I did: just bring a 2 or 3 mm Steel rop...

So I´m back from my first Swoard tripp > nice. Lately there were no additions to the list. So I would suggest to close the list early in 2006. My option of having a friend from Texas bringing the stuff is still on. She will travel on 20th Jan. So enough time to make it to ECS2006. Just Bomber has to...

Adapting to Swoard / TD Bindings

Hello Guys, my head is hurting from push-pull-push-french-whatever. Without a teacher or an observer I find it hard to even judge what I´m doing on the board. I just spend a week with my new Swoard and new TD2 Bindings. Coming from a narrower Raceboard I started to duplicate binding settings from Fi...

Hy, just came back from a trip to Sillian Tirol. The slopes were well prepared all the time. A lot of wide areas good for carving, but not super steep like the Zinal slope. There are some steep and wide areas in the valley slope. I was surprised to see 10+ Hardbooter every day, mostly locals. my Hot...

So to get thins started I would suggest to begin with a list for people who really wan´t to get a set of Bomer's RABs for the ECS. Who will place the order could be decided by who has the lowest VAT. I can not promise but actally it could worj out that friends of mine from Texas could actually bring...
