Any EC fanatics in Livigno between 6-13 March, so that we can share experiences and ride together? 8O I'll be with some ski carver friends, althouhg they do not understand the true religion (EC snowboarding) the are not that bad as usual skiers. :bravo: Lots of phun guaranteed. Cheers, Ist...

Hi X-men, Does '68 mean 168 cm length. In that case you'll face difficulties in EC. My experience is that with your size that board is too short for you, you might feel that you are about to fall over the nose of the board during riding. I'm 188 cm, now less than 90 kg but was more heavy last season...

Malecky, I ride an F2 Silberpfeil, 172cm, 63 57, with conshox (very stiff!!!) and it is feasible to EC with it. However, I'm also about to change to a longer, softer and wider board (SWOARD 175H) and a lower angle, because the guys around here convinced me that it would make EC easier. Let's see. 8O...

Hi All, I also wanted to raise that question earlier, although I am still far from receiving my Swoard. :alien: So do I understand well, that the bindigs should be put on simmetrically, meaning that after the foot distance is decided, bindings should be the same distance from the center. Rig...

Guido, Tomasso is right. 8) The key is in the angulation, which together with your foot size defines the minimum width. Also read: https://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=650. There was also a discussion on the relation between high/low angles and edge pressure in backsides. But could n...

Hey Guido, I ride a Silberpfeil 172 (2002/2003), my stance is 63 57 and Yes, I can EC with it. Of course not as professionally as P+J, but usually people start watching me on the slopes (if that means anything at all....) On the other hand, I just ordered a Swoard, because all the things wr...

Patrice, I was glad to read that you find 88 better, than 90, that is also my opinion. :pray2: However, here ( https://www.extremecarving.com/swoard/manual.html ) you have a different suggestion. You might want to change it in this case. :rules: Is your 88 equal to 89 plus -1, or it's 88 + 0? :?: I ...

Guys, Just a comment on the mogul issue: on slopes with bumps all over, there are usually two 'fast lanes' on the two edges, made by skiers not doing the alpine bump skiing, but going down straight. I just follow them... Who the hell wants to ride big bumps with a very stiff and narrow car...

Guys, Firstly, I am not expecting racers to carve as low as we try to. Secondly, I appreciate your comments, which in this case is: 'these are two different sports, racing can not profit from EC experience'. Do I get it right? Now let's hear others, I would be especially curious about the Swo...

X-eff, I am not saying that they are slow. Neither I am saying that EC is equal to racing. All that I was considering is that maybe as there were many developments in EC, that could be useful in racing, althoug it is a completely different branch. Like they take ideas from F1 and Rally and put it in...

EC vs. Race Slalom
Hey EC Community, On the weekend I was watching snowboard paralell slalom on EuroSport. 8O Many of the contestants had very poor edge grip and edge control in comparisson with EC, not to mention that their curves were rather far from being perfect (too far from the poles), which results in time loss...

Hey Nils, The Polyglut business sounds great! I have to admit that I do not know too much about commerce, but I'm willing to change if it pays better than banking :D What is a 'velcro'? I have seen 2 solutions by Level to stop the snow getting into the glove, I can not really explain it in writing, ...

I must admit Nils' points are true and really detaield. It made me understand the issue more deeply and highlighted a few points about my equipment. I ride an F2 Silberpfeil with a Conshox system. I do not agree with Boris that this would be the worst board on mother Earth, but I have to admit, that...
