Interesting topic. The problem of slipping may partly be caused by the socks and probably partly caused by the liners. I agree with all that when you have found a pair of socks that suits well in the boots I almost never change them till they are worn out completely. Now, I have a pair with silk and...

Thanks for nice words :D . And again big thanks to Pokkis for arranging this camp and promoting Oppdal :clap2: and to Vahur for patience to take all the excellent shots  . By the way, Pokkis measured the steepest section in Vangslia to 30 degrees (the same as Barthelemy according to him) and t...

Hi,
See my review and comparison of two flexes in viewtopic.php?t=3600 January 19, 2009. My conclusion is that if you would like a versatile board that works great under most condition, go for the softer one.

Flex of Swoard
Hi,
If you are uncertain about your carving abilities and still is learning the EC-technique, I would recommend a softer flex than the table indicates. See my comparison between 168 H and 168 M in viewtopic.php?p=51621#51621. I am 178 and my weight is abt 80 kg.

Vahur, Very good observation. Many are so obsessed of touching the snow under any condition and therefore, does this mistake by bending in the waist and putting the hands on the snow. I do it myself often, however not so extreme, but for a different reason. In the frontside, it happens that the back...

My experience is that starting the heelturn being very low (pull) combined with the rotation makes it easier to succeed. Therefore, both good forward flex in the boots and some lateral flexness in the bindings will help. But as long as you feel that your boots and bindings do not hamper your movemen...

Swoard generation 3, M or H flex
Hi, As some of you may wonder whether you should choose a Medium or a Hard flex (or between to flexes in general), here are some experience of my own. I have used Swoard since 2003 when I bought generation 1 168 H. Thereafter, I bought a gen. 2 168 H i 2006. Height is 178 cm, weight about 80 kg, boo...

Hi, I think that anyone should use the bindings that suits them best. In this test the frontside turn is OK, but the backside is not. Not good enough rotation, not fully laid down but sticking the bum out. Whether this problem is caused by the binding or not I do not know. It is a common problem for...

In my opinion F2 is a strong brand name and the company has good products both in windsurfing and snowboards, even if not all of us prefer all of the F2 products. What might happen is that another company takes over and buys the brand names. However, in such a case it is always uncertain which produ...

Yes, hard work is also essential, but my experience, and a lot of good instructors, trainers, coaches in skiing (that I know most) uniformly tell the same thing, without proper equipment, the potential for progress is very limited. However, the importance may vary across sports. Mayby it is not that...
