hmm. Titanal board would be good, but IMO technology is not mature yet for titanal snowboards and this means that price and failure rate (delamination/metal sheet breaking) will too high for recreational rider. Especially for extreme carving, which means that forces for board will be quite big. Mayb...

Narrow or wide? Is this even the question? One person wrote in his description of carving philosophy on Dec. 2005 (2.5 years ago): I ride mostly with narrow boards and quite steep angles, rarely under 60 degrees. As I understand, this person has changed his opinion after this statement quite a lot a...

IMO here is mixed style and technique. As I understand, technique is based on physics/biomechanics. There are different techniques for carving: swiss with prerotation, racing technique, where edge change is basically done only by moving center of gravity point over edge and rest is done by board's s...

Nice riding :bravo: , but in some scenes jittering is ocurring (from 7th second onward), I assume that this is due to digital stabilizer in video camera?
And riding/filming with cloudy weather doesn't help either, but one can't do nothing about it besides complaining :(

Yes, 1200 seems to be good for 2/3rd of viewers. So my pics will be 1200x800 (1.7 times bigger as previously :) . And my laptop is 1280x800, so it almost fits there as well :P
Poll done, "thank you" to all the participants. Hopefully bigger images are better , let's see them when I'm uploaded.

Here are additional photos from stand and Sunday's group photo (big, merged from 3 photos): http://carving.grewu.org/gallery/ecsV/second_crop/index.htm For next session I suggest to ban all metal boards in group pictures, as certain owner of metal board reflected sun into camera and caused exposure ...

How wide is your computer screen in pixels?

In preparations for publishing ECS pictures I started to think about image size: currently most of images in my web site are 900x600 (if in landscape orientation), but in order to provide better quality I thought that maybe I can go bigger? Here are my main considerations for image size: 1. navigati...

Are you interested in knowing, whether Swoard team pushed this story to magazine? She accompanied one ECS participant but she didn't rode board, instead s...
