Schneewurm, that is the reason why I didn´t buy the cream version of the RC 10 this year ... but I am not sure ... loads of translucent skiboots this year ... there were problems in the past (think Burton ...), but maybe the plastics got better ... they should have more experience now ...

I second everything that xyxx said :D ... but only the sole is shorter on the UPZs. If you measure a little higher (at the point where the toes and heel actually sit), then there is hardly any difference between the UPZs and the Heads and that is where you will have contact with the snow surface. Ne...

This sounds very reasonable ... so the boots don´t allow for enough forward flex, if they are used without modifications ... that´s what I meant with "not the best design", but with the mods it might be a different story ... no question.

When I put on my Head Stratos Pro (no mods) and bend my knee, the strap over the instep moves back and puts more pressure on the instep. It seems that the shell widens slightly and the strap tightens around your foot. For me this is not the best design. Nothing like that happens on the UPZ, where th...

Hello Blahblah! Welcome to the forum, if you want to lay down turns, have you read the equipment tips on this website? This is a perfect equipment for laying down  . I can see that your equipment somehow limits you ... do you have any personal preferences concerning your setup (size and width ...

Hallo baldi!

chucky, I was trying to explain Schneewurm´s thinking ... maybe I shouldn´t have  , but bringing the world of hardbooters and softbooters together was definitely an aspect when the first drafts of this discipline were made ... I have old snowboard mags articles about that ... and back then the...

You are 100% correct. I always say that the equipment is only about 5% of the overall performance
But that isn´t really the point here ...
The boards in the WC are all on a very high level (only minor differences) ... and that was my point ... there is no more domination.

Felix, if that is "domination" for you then that is your opinion and I am not going to start a discussion about the term. But half the riders in the Olympic final rounds (men) of the SBX were on Oxess (about 15 riders!!!). And even in the Alpine disciplines the WC Overall Champion is using a differe...
