Turning STYLE when NOT completely Laid Out
Hi J&P Is the EC technique efficient in situations other than when you are completely low and laid out in an EC turn? What type of riding style do you use when making big turns, short turns, off piste turns or turns on a piste that is not particularly steep? Do you use the same technique when using ...

Hi Jacques & All Bindings are very important in EC. Too stiff, the rider can't move on the board (don't forget it is much wider than a race board) and this will make edge shifting much more difficult. In fact, the couple "boot-binding" should allow the gravity center of the rider (the hips) to move ...

I simply bought some 5mm strong neoprene (not the wetsuit kind, but the strong construction kind) Hi Nils Sounds like a great idea. I'm not familiar with construction neoprene, how is it different from the wetsuit stuff? What type of store would sell the construction neoprene? Online perhaps? Did y...

Binding Flexibility & EC Performance
Hi Jacques and Patrice I'm hoping to get a little advice/guidance on what to do with regards to bindings; use my old bindings or start hunting for ones made of carbon. If Bomber bindings are the stiffest bindings (I've never tried them) and the Blax Stealth II are the more flexible bindings (I've ha...

Thanks
Hi All
Thanks for the tips.
The French Open is on TV right now, the sun is shining, the kids are napping, it's Saturday ... "Life is Good." Still kinda wish I could get a few runs in on the snowboard right now .. guess it's good to be excited about the future.

Backside Turn
Hi Next year, he is going to tackle the backside laid turn. Watching the e-carve videos leads me to believe that the heel side (backside) e-carve “STYLE” turn is something that really separates all previous turns; particularly the upper body “twisting” or “pulling” motion while very low. When teachi...

Public Perception
Hi Fox, Jacques I would like to add to your thoughts. To most of my friends bombers are something from a world war II movie, extreme is the price of a pop and popcorn at a movie and carving is what you do to the turkey on Thanksgiving day. They have no idea that a passionate crew of snowboarders, th...

Board Length vrs Rider Height
Hi
How did you determine the overall board length for Jacques and Patrices' E-boards?
There is 10 cm difference in rider height, but only 5 cm difference in board length.
Thanks
Rob

Liners
Hi I’m looking to replace my packed out standard Raichle liners. It seems that the Raichle thermoflex is the only show in town. I’ve heard of INTUITION thermoflex liners. I also heard that racers have custom liners made out of an injected POLYURETHANE. Suggestions anyone? A website or phone number w...

Board Measurement at Rear Foot Location
Hi all It seems to me that a “boot out” board width measurement should be taken/measured at approximately the center of the rear foot. A board with a 22cm waist and an 8m radius will have a different width measurement at the rear foot then will a board with a 22cm waist and a 13m radius; the board w...

Hi I prefer the quicktime format, I feel it is a more universal choice. Choosing quicktime is like choosing English for the Forum, it will allow the largest amount of people to participate. (Maybe offer both formats?) For me the size of the video is fine. I find the "Slow-Motion" really helpful in p...

Hi yyzcanuck Thanks for the tip once again, you saved me a bundle. The bomber price was $80USD a pair for the RAB. The GABRIEL A. MORDO & SON LTD. price was $25 Canadian a pair for the Raichle Accelerator Box. With the very poor Canadian dollar, you save me a $100 bucks. Guess I buy the next beer. :...

Northwave & Raichle Boots-Modifications?
Hi PLASTIC ADD ON? The picture on your web site, of your Northwave boots, looks like two pieces of plastic (light blue), have been added between the boot shell and the liner. Is the plastic a modification or stock on the boots? If the plastic is an add on? Is the plastic added to both boots in the s...
