Re: Boot flex
That might be a possibility although I might need to bring the wife and baby for a trip (so she can board also - she missed out so far this year, while I have been lucky getting the 'pass' already).

Re: Boot flex
Thanks for the replies, sorry I took so long to follow up - was in Mayrhofen for a week! :-) I took both my softboots and hardboots along with my Dual...in case the fatigue was too much. To my surprise, with the smaller size, I didn't get as much as I expected, and from the start carving felt natura...

Boot flex
Just a quick question on putting springs on the the UPZ RC-10... For EC-style, is it best to have a lot of flex on both boots?? I was running in fatigue issues, and a Pure-boarding-style hardbooter friend of mine commented that the front foot in their style is far more rigid. I did change my boots t...

Tried them both and know them well, but not this season (2015/2016) yet! Primus is a pretty good rental shop at Lenzerheide - can rent hardboots and carving boards..

Re: SWOARD 175 M 4GEN
Thanks, Carlo.
Do you have better pictures? These are not good enough to make a decision for that price. I commend you for pointing out the scratch though Did someone run over your board? I am sure there is an interesting story behind that
cheers,
Slayer.

Hi Carlosan,
Interested in the board - but the link doesn't work. I tried searching on the Subito site, but no luck.
Can you resend link?
cheers,

Re: Closest slope to Zurich which has decent snow 2015/16
Related to this: Which ski destinations pistes have good experiences for EC. For example, The red run from Nagens at Laax, just below the restaurant, was pretty quiet in the mornings. For some reason not shown well on the interactive map. Its not perfect or steep enough, but I will take a quiet pist...

Re: UPZ RC-10 movement inside shell
Hi joemzl, The movement is forward-backward. I do suspect as the liner compacts, if it compacts, I may have 'too large volume' issues as I am already on the last clasps on the shell. I guess a piece of foam in front of the liner? Is this what people do? I should note, i did try smaller shells, but a...

Re: UPZ RC-10 movement inside shell
Yes, sorry, I mean the liner. It did not feel like my feet were moving in the liner, but the liner itself, around the area where the boot 'hinge' is. My feet are definitely at least 29.5 Mondo as measured, in the shop for whatever reason it was 30 (probably weight distribution spread when not measur...

UPZ RC-10 movement inside shell
Hi there carvers, Another probably newbie question, as my first time with hard boots. So I got the RC-10s in Mondo 30 shell, with 29.5 inner, as the smaller shell was just too tight. After customising them with the red tongues and the DGSS spring system, I tried them on today, with a board strapped ...

Re: UPZ RC10 Struggling to get the spring system out
Hi Gio, Thanks for that. I did try screwing the cylinder part all the way to compress the spring, but it didn't come out by hand pressure....not even hammer pressure. They must have changed something on the newer models. I will try again, but I spent all last night tightening the spring, loosening t...
